FF&E Designer

 

We are looking for a detailed, creative and communicative FF&E Designer that will act as a contributing staff member to the House of Forme Hong Kong/Shenzhen Interior Design Team. This person must be highly motivated about furniture and lighting design, with experience in various aspects of hands-on fabrication methodologies. They will need to be highly organized and be able to manage multiple projects at one time. We are looking for someone who works well with multiple teams, with strong attention to detail that is aligned with the House of Forme ethos.

Responsibilities:

- Detailed hand sketching for concept development

- Solidworks modeling & rendering

- Internal presentations design

- Technical design drawing for manufacture in Solidworks and or CAD

- Coordination of furniture & lighting drawings with interior CAD drawings

- Image research, materials & furniture component sourcing

- Comprehensive file management

- Maintenance of personal project schedules

- Attending regular internal meetings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Furniture, Lighting, or Industrial Design preferred

- Post-gradate experience in Furniture, Lighting or Industrial Design

- Fluency in Solidworks required; Sketchup & Rhino preferred

- Fluency in all Google Workplace applications, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign) required. AutoCAD required to collaborate with interior designers and architects

- Professional Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required

- Excellent communication skills required

- Fabrication experience a plus

- Must be legally able to work in Hong Kong
