Interior Design Intern
We are looking for an ambitious, artistic and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern with a proactive and hands-on mind set to join our growing design team in the Hong Kong HQ, who will be designing for clients ranging from residential, f&b, retail and more.
The successful candidate will be both an independent problem solver, as well as a proven team player when it comes to getting the job done. He/she must have a passion for transforming spaces and a desire to learn from industry professionals. You will be reporting to the Founder & Creative Director and Interior Design Lead, working alongside other interior designers. If you are passionate, driven and looking for a new and exciting opportunity within a growing company, this may be the right role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the interior design team, get to understand how projects are executed from start to finish
- Discuss the design brief with the design team and take proactive part in internal creative meetings from conceptual to final construction stage
- Coordinate with professional consultants and project management teams
- Create visual presentations for clients, including concept mood boards, perspective drawings, 3D renderings and other means to demonstrate the design
- Participate in the selection of materials, inclusive of furniture, fabrics, lighting, and accessories
- Support the design team with site visits
- Help maintain project timelines and documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to request samples and gather product information.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in interior design or related majors from an internationally recognised school
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Illustrator, photoshop or other design programs (Proficiency in Enscape will be prioritised)
- Extremely detailed with a creative flair and strong eye for design.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a plus
- Highly motivated and proactive, passionate about design and a good team player
- Able to multi task under tight deadlines
